Temporary residence

The State Migration Service publishes the grounds, application process and current procedural information for temporary residence. Its current guidance says applicants who have a relevant ground should apply at least 30 days before the expiry of their temporary stay or existing temporary residence period.

Work permission

The State Migration Service also states that employers generally obtain a work permit for each foreigner or stateless person they wish to employ unless a statutory exemption applies. Its current guidance describes a work permit as being issued for one year, or for the shorter employment-contract period when that contract is less than one year, with extensions subject to the Migration Code.

Keep the three questions separate
